Does anyone besides me have issues with sex-normative attitudes in prochoice spaces?
Don’t get me wrong, I read all the prochoice tumblrs, all of them, and I love 99% of what’s posted, and I love seeing smackdowns of anti’s. But there’s also a lot of “everybody fucks” type comments, and a lot of them are really flippant and don’t seem very self-aware.
And I feel like I’d be considered a derailer (and I’d even feel a little bit like a derailer) if I said something, because hey, what business does someone who doesn’t have sex even have talking about abortion?
But I can’t help but feel like abortion is being presented as a sexual people’s issue and my uterus somehow doesn’t count.
